Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

If you get hurt in one state but live in a different state should you hire an attorney in the state you live in or the state you were hurt in?

You should engage attorney in the State where you bring the action, normally, the State where you were hurt. The other alternative is to bring the action in the Federal Court having appropriate jurisdiction for the action, which "may be" the State you reside in.
