Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

i was involved in a car accident about 2months ago with a commercial vehicle. I was in the passenger seat (the side that was struck) when a plumbing van hit us and i banged my neck and head. I felt ok and the police took nearly 4hours to come to the scene and i dont have med insurance so i didnt go to the hospital. But ever since i'v been having heads lost of appetite and even slight vertigo . a friend of mine is a doctor and she said i pretty much def have a concousion...what are my options legally

Short of seeing a personal injury lawyer, you can and should file a claim against both vehicles that were involved in the accident.
