Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

past child abuse

My son was''beaten''by his father when he was young

(10-13) he is now 25. One time he taken away by the

department of child protection and returned home with

me only to be returned to his father for more abuse.. At

the time I recieved a letter from the social worker that

they didn't want to pit him against his father... .I have the

letter...my son left his fathers' and came to l live with

me never to speak with the father again.He found the

letter from the social worker and is so depressed and

despondent they didn't stop him...does he have any

legal actions he can take...he is also scared for the

new child he has...

I'm sorry about the circumstances of your son's upbringing, unfortunately for him, even if he did have a cause of action, it is likely too much time has passed to do anything about it and any action would be time barred by the statute of limitations.
