Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

Thank you for that quick response, but I am well over 10 days we are into months because I didn't think that I had injured myself. I wanted to know the exact time limitation required by law to report an injury to a landlord in an apartment complex.

You should go ahead and report your claim in writing, by certified mail, return receipt requested. In general terms, you can bring a lawsuit for negligence within 3 years from the date of the accident, however, there may be provisions in your lease agreement as to notice. If you have sustained a serious injury, it is advisable that you contact an attorney for comprehensive advice. Feel free to contact our office via e-mail in confidence at: [email protected] and/or telephone at 718-616-1414.
