If something is stolen from a hotel room, is the hotel liable?

Look up "bailments" in NY law on Google. Also contact the hotel also-they might be willing to settle to make you happy (and quiet). Or, what I have had people ask me to do, have an atty write them something and that smallish fee can be well-worth it.
