Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

verbal harassment

My daughter who is 18 years old is being verbally hasrassed by a class mate. This girl is attacking her in school as well as out of school. This girls language is terrible and abusive. I want to know what can be done to stop the hurtful remarks this girl is making toward my daughter?

If the villain is over 18, then you should go to the police iimediately and emphasize the out-of-school behavior. Do not refer to any in-school behavior.

If the villain is under 18, you can still go to the police, but, if they determine that this is a school problem, you will be disappointed. Again, do not refer to any school activities.

Try the police first and, if that does not work out, get back to me and I will have more suggestions.
