As a martimonial attorney, I strongly advise you not to add your boyfriend to the deed. You may save some money on your insurance, but it can cost you dearly if the relationship sours.

One document you need to prepare is a new deed. The county where the deed is to be filed may have additional forms that must be completed, such as transfer tax returns.

It is also likely that you will be required to file a gift tax return.
