Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

Deed

Please Help. My husband, myself and my daughter and son in law built a new house. All 4 names are on the deed. My son in law only put labor my daughter, husband and I put all the cash into the deal. We do have a mortgage on the property. What recourse does my son in law have? A divorce or separation will be pending. We want his name off the deed so we can sell it.

Re: Deed

His name is on the deed. He needs to sign the deed to g4et his own name off becasue he is an owner. Speak with your child's divorce attorney. The soon to be "ex" will likely get something, but you want to minimize what it is. The work he put in does have a value.

Good Luck
