The way I was served Forclosure papers on my house was not personally. I found them in my mail box which in front of my house. Is it legal not be served directly?

Re: Forclosure Papers

Yes it is legal. One of the methods of service of foreclosure papers is by "nail and mail" in other words to place it on your door and mail you a copy (sometimes certified).

I would suggest that you contact a lawyer immediately to know your rights.

Yes. Service may be made personally, by "suitable age and discretion" -ex. delivery to wife, or by "nail and mail" which is to leave a copy at the residence.

Mike.
