Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

Hi, I have a general concept of adverse possession, I've taken care of the property for four years. I moved into the property in the summer of 2013 and planned on paying property taxes January 2014. ( which is unusual, they usually wait 3-5 yrs before staring action of foreclosed ) I noticed that there has been a public announcement that the property that I moved into is now being or in the process of being foreclosed on. Due to two years of back property taxes. Which is the best course of action (1)wait until the county tries to take possession of the property and file Cause of action, or (2)file a claim of action and/or pay the back taxes now?

A tax lien is a lien paramount, which swallows every kind of ownership known to the law. And your adverse possession claim is gibberish unless you have a colorable claim of right to the disputed property. What sorts of things did you do to take care of the property? Mowing the grass does not count.
