Can I go to jail

If I am summoned to appear in small clims court but do not go, will the arrest me or place a warrent on me?

No. However, a Judgment may be issued against you for the money owed as per the notice you received from the small claims court.

No arrest, but you may lose case.

IF you are the defendant and do not appear you will have a money judgment entered against you if there is any validity at all to the claim.

You should apppear and defend yourself.

If you have been subpeonaed as a witness and do not go the loser may be able to sue you if they can show your testimony would prove their case.
