Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

i own a lot in a town that used to have a house on it. we removed the house and saved the foundation. our town recieved a beautification grant and decided to install underground electric right thru the middle of my property to the local bank. in the process they destroyed part of the foundation, dug up the survey boundry stakes and used my lot to put all their building supplies and vehicles on causing the rest of the foundation to become unusable. they say they didnt know it was private property but we have lived in the town for 35 years and they did know. what are my options.?

You would have to commence an action against the town in tresspass and negligence. Don't wait. You may have to file a notice of claim before you commence the action. If you wait you may lose this right.

Mike.
