Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
The person in the unit above me asked me to sign something permitting him to enter my unit ti access his plumbing from below. He states that he will try to minimize my inconvenience be responsible for returning my unit to its previous condition. This note was received shortly before Christmas and work is scheduled to begin 1/3. He states that if I do not consent, there could be problems fro me. Although he states he is willing to work with me, I feel that this is very short notice for me to prepare for this and I do not wish to sign. What are my rights?

I would not give him access he has absolutely no legal right to your apartment. He can do nothing to you. Call me for more info.
