Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

We purchased our home with only one name on the deed for financial reasons. I would like to add my spouse to the deed and want to know if A quick deed is the proper form to use I reside in New York City. Thank you

If you wish the other spouse to have the benefit of the title insurance, a Warranty Deed is the only way to go.

Arnold is correct, but more than just a Deed may be needed, so I also suggest using an attorney to assist you. Other forms need to be included as part of the recording requirement.
