Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

Question about Town and City code enforcement.

Last month I received a letter from my local code enforcement office. This letter pointed out a few violations. Some were valid, some were not. I went to the code enforcement office and spoke with them about the problems and I asked some pointed questions about the validity of some of the claims, which I got the answer: "a judge will have to decide that." I decided not to make waives and I corrected the problems.

Friday morning while I was at work, my local city DPW showed up at my house and was removing things from my back yard. My wife called me about this, the DPW workers told my wife they are completing a work order. So I left work to see what was going on and they were filling a bucket loader with wood I use for my fireplace and had about a cord in the back of a dump truck all-ready. I asked them if they had a warrant, they said they had a work order singed by a judge, but never gave me a copy. After speaking with them for 15 minutes they finally showed me a complaint that was sent to me last month about some rubbish that was under my back porch. And attached to the complaint were pictures of the "so-called" rubbish. I asked the guy in charge if it looked like the picture when he got here, and why was he stealing my wood? If that is not on this complaint? he packed up his crew and left.

what do I do. will they be back on Monday?
