Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

Real Estate

I am getting ready to get married and i own my own home by myself for 8 years. I have two children age 13 I do not want my future husband to have this property it belongs to my children, I still have a mortgage and wondering if I could put my childrens name on this property. I dont believe I should have to split anything if we got a divorce since I have made every payment and down payment years before i met my future husband. Any advice?

Re: Real Estate

Well, you can do a prenup. agreement which will protect all your attests. You can record a deed in your childrens names, but it sounds as if that will violate the terms of the mortgage. I will be very happy to discuss your options. I can be reached at the office all day.
