Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

My wife's grandmother passed away. The will stated the her aunt is the executor of the estate, until she passes away, which includes the house owned by wife's grandmother. Upon the aunts death the house will go to my wife and her sister.

The aunt can sell the property if need be, and the price received would be divided 50% for Aunt, 25% for my wife and her sister.

Can the aunt sell the house value of $300,000 to another of her relatives excluding my wife and her sister for a sum of $1,000.00. and would this be legal in new york state.
