Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in New York

Sexual Harassment

I was just call into HR today and told a ''few'' women (only 10 on job) claim they feel uncomforable around me because they feel I undress them with my eyes. I have never touch them or said any thing to these women. They do work in my department. We see each in the hall and other parts of the job. HR offer me a buy out and told me to take a few day off to think about it.

Re: Sexual Harassment

sexual harassment does not constitute touching alone, this is an axtreme and criminal action... It is the employers obligation ot maintain a comfortable work place for all employees, otherwise they may face a lawsuit and be liable for your actions... which is what theyre trying to avoid.

I wish you luck, however they are doing what is not only their legal obligation but what is also legally correct...
