Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York

mistake on a moving violation on New York Thruway 87N

I was given a moving violation on 1/15/09 for violating traffic law: 1110A - disobeying a traffic control device. The officer incorrectly identifed the color of my car as brown (its black). All other details are correct. Can I use this mistake to have the ticket dismissed/voided? If I can have the ticket voided, do I have to go to Albany to settle this matter (I live in NYC)?
