Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York

Residency NY or NC

My wife and I recently moved from

NJ to NC. My wife works in NC. I

work in NY (long island), have an apt

there, and commute back to NC on

weekends. In respect to auto

registration and drivers license, can I

set this up in NC, since this is my

Domicile, vs. NY? Will there be any

issues since my work is in NY and the

car is there about 70% of the time?

Re: Residency NY or NC

The location that you spend the majority of your time and/or where you pay your taxes and primary residence is the state you are required to use for your drivers license and register your car.
