Speeding ticket 75 in 55 zone

I got a ticket for speeding 75 in a 55 zone. If I plea not guilty, do i have to go to court for sure? is there a way to write to the judge/court to dismiss or reduce the points without going to court? I cannot go there in person. Any ways to avoid points with no show at the court? I would write a letter of explanation for them to decide and deal with my case. Does that work? is there a legal way to avoid going to court? 500miles from where i live.
