Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York

Traffic Charge of driving while registration suspended/revoked

I was pulled over on Feb 18th 2009 in Dunkirk NY for operating while registration suspended/revoked. The car was registered in my wifes name not mine. I have a clean driving record up to this point. What am I facing in fines/penalties for this offense?

Re: Traffic Charge of driving while registration suspended/revoked

This is a very serious matter. It might even be a misdemeanor which is a crime. You could go to jail, have a criminal record, and your right to drive can be affected, You could also face a fine, which is not as important as having a record.

You have to have a lawyer to represent you.

If you would like to contact me, please feel free to do so.

I practice law in Dunkirk and am familiar with the system
