Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York

Traffic law

I received a notice of suspension from the DMV for a failure to appear in court 15 years ago for a traffic violation. The actual charge was failure to stop at red light. Can the court actually pursue this? I feel they should not be able to since 15 years after the fact I don't even remember the incident. I have no defense to this charge now. Even if I had paid the ticket I would no longer have proof of it.

Re: Traffic law

Iwould suggest paying the ticket to remove the suspension. In the alternative plead not guilty, it is possible the PO retired or no longer has sufficient notes to prosecute. I handle matters such as yours on a regular basis and would be happy to have a free phone consultation with you. Please contact my office to arrange it.
