Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York

over a year since ticket, but no court date

I received a ticket for a moving violation in July of 2006, and the ticket noted that I was directed to appear at a particular place on a particular date and time. However, when I showed up on that date, I was told that the date was not for my court appearance, but for the date my plea must be received by mail. Regardless, I also informed the court clerk (on that date) that the address on the ticket was incorrect (despite being on my registration and on the back of my driver's license) and provided them with my correct current address. It has now been almost 12 months since I provided that information, but I have received no further information. I'm concerned that they may have sent something to my old address. Should I be concerned? If so, what can I do to see if there has been an action against me?

You should go to DMV immediately and find out if your drivers license is suspended. They could have sent a notice to your old address and usually after 6 months they suspend your license. Contact me if you need help

If you aew in Yorktown or Mount Pleasant or somewhere like that, it is not unusual but check with the court again anyway.
