Can I convert a revocable trust to an irrevocable trust?

Hi, I have a revocable trust can I convert it to an irrevocable trust without revoking the original trust?

You can amend the trust document to make it irrevocable. But, make sure you know what you are doing.

I agree with Norman that an amendment is all that is required. However, there are many things that should be included, aside from language just making it irrevocable, depending upon what you are trying to accomplish. A profession, like myself, who has the expertise and who has done this frequently, should be consulted, so all objectives are accomplished and the proper language used.
