Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

My Dad was a resident of New York State when he passed away this past December. He and I have shared a joint bank account for the past several years, during which time he purchased several CDs with cash in this account, and was listed as an assett of this same account. I am also the executor of his will. Do these CDs remain part of the joint account (I am sole owner now), or are they subject to probate and distribution?
