Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

I am executor for a relative's estate. The relative left Certificates of Deposit that passed directly to payable on death beneficiaries. These made up over half of the 1.5 million estate, the rest being the decease's home which has been sold. How do I determine the amount of executor fee that I am entitled to?

An executor is entitled to a commission on assets that pass through the estate. The CDs pass outside of the estate and are therefore not figured into the calculation of your commission.
