executrix fees

does the will have to state that an executrix fee may be charged...or can the executrix automatcally receive one? how is the amount they receive determined?

Unless the Will states that the Executrix is to serve without fee, a fee may be charged. This follows a formula that depends on what is the probate estate value (assets that pass solely by virtue of the Will). The fee schedule is on the Surrogate's web site.
