my grandmother's will

Her will was made in 1999 and we were exstranged. got back together in 2001 as my father is deceased my grandmother over the next few years told me she would give me any memorbila from him and his childhood home and money to restore it after she passed well she passed and has not updated her will since 1999 but I really want my fathers memorbilla and his childhood home and I think it is a verbal contract with her. can I file a lein against the estate?

I am sorry but no you can't file a lien.

The Surrogate Court does not recognize a "verbal contract" when it comes to settling an Estate. It must be in a "proper" writing.
