Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

My husband and I live in New York and own two apartments in Israel. We are in the process of updating our will. Do Israel inheritance laws honor our American will or do we need a separate Israeli will for our apartments in Israel?

Either option can be effective. Probably best to have a New York will for your US property, and a separate will signed in Israel which covers the property in that country. Better check with an Israeli lawyer as far as their inheritance laws.
