Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

Mothers will

My mother passed away last July. he will stated everything be divided amoung the 6 children(of which I am 1) with her house going to my younger sister. this will was in agreement with everyone, but we have heard nothing from the attorney.(my brother is the executor).I get a response that they are working on it. Is there a time frame that this should be resolved?

Re: Mothers will

On the face of it, it seems as though this estate should have been wound up at this point. However, each estate is different and, depending upon the complexities, may take more or less time to resolve. Nevertheless, if you feel that you are not getting detailed responses, you should retain an attorney to make inquiry on your behalf.
