how would I obtain a copy of fathers last will?

If probated, just contact the Surrogate's office where it was probated. You can go there and see it for free, or have a copy sent to you for a nominal fee. Of course, the Executor should/could have sent you a copy. If your father is still living, letting you see a copy before his demise is purely up to him.
