Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

I already have a signed and notarized living willl. My will states that my financial assets will be divided among my children equally, I would like to change that as one of my children has already received a large sum of money from me. I would like that reflected in my will. How can I make an addendum to my living will?

You are confusing the terms "living will" with a "last will and testament".

You are talking about a Last will and Testament. In order to change it you must make a codicil to the will. This must be done exactly according to statute in order to be valid.

The other alternative is to make a brand new will and destroy the old one.
