I want to Know what form do I use to give my brother permision to act in my behave in Puerto Rico for a law suit for my parents property against my other brother who sold it with out owr signature and permission.

You would give your brother "Power of Attorney."

Forms are available from Blumberg or you can have an attorney prepare one.

You should be careful that the POA is not open ended or broad. You need to initial the box that deals with Real Estate matters or spell out exactly what limited power you are giving your brother and when it will terminate.

A somewhat board, but limited Power of Attorney should be sufficient. It should be specific as to what you are allowing and what property is to be covered, and what should happen depending upon the results of the litigation. Most important, it should be durable (so he can act if you should become diabled). It needs to be signed and notarized. If you need assistance in preparing the required document, contact me.
