widow

if you are married for less than two years and a spouse dies are any adult children responsiable to help cover any funeral exspences and is the widow eligable for any kind of social security or anyhting if they have lived together for 10years and widow was total caretaker thru entire sickness?

It usually is the estate's responsibility to pay funeral expenses, not the family members (although they may need to pay it and then get reimbursed. As to social security, you need to talk to them, and it is also age dependent. If you are eligible, you may be able to get a higher amount as a widow than you are entitled to yourself. You may also have claims against the estate for costs you incurred as a caretaker, and maybe even statutory rights as a wife. More information is needed for a better response.
