Legal Question in Workers Comp in New York

already collecting comp. and disability
My sister has been collecting comp and disability for a severe knee injury that resulted in a knee replacement. Today we were talking and she told me that when a person collects, you are not able to do favors for people as it will be considered to be employment. She said that she can not even watch a neighbor's children for a few minutes so they could run to the store.Is this true?

Depends on the degree of disability and the limitations placed on her by her doctor.

It also may depend on whether she is being paid for the favor.
