Legal Question in Workers Comp in New York

old ticket

I received a ticket for driving without a license in NY about 12-13 years ago. In a letter dated 2/18/08 I was notified I have a warrant out for failure to appear. Is this ticket still enforceable, and if so what are my options?

Re: old ticket

You likely have a speedy trial defense. Although the law has since changed, during many of the years the warrant was out (especially the early years), the police had to show "due dilligence" in trying to find you. If you were living in the State and did not use an alias, you could get it dismissed. You should consult with a criminal defense attorney. The above is meant for informational purposes only and not meant as legal advise as there is no attorney-client relationship.
