Legal Question in Workers Comp in New York

I work in a call center. My company recently switched phones, and the headsets are now much louder. I ruptured my eardrum. Can I sue my employer?

In New York (and most States) you cannot "Sue" your employer, but if you are injured in the course of your work then you can make a claim for workers compensation benefits. These benefits will pay for medical care related to the work injury and some type of payment if you miss time from work and if you ultimately have a permanent hearing loss then some money beenfits for that! For more information check out www.markhofflaw.com/getfreereport.cfm for a book I have written on this subject, "5 Deadly Sins that Can Derail Your New York Workers Compensation Claim" - good luck.
