You do not have to be married. You do however have to provide documents to prove that you have been living together, especially joint bank account and other things to show that you share your financial commitments. In order to be successful in a visa application, we recommend that couples must be able to show that they have lived together for at least 4 months.

We do a lot of Partnership visas, as we specialise in New Zealand immigration law. We also recommend that peopole get a lot of letters of support from family and friends which provide details about what they know of your relationship.
