Legal Question in Immigration Law in New Zealand (Aotearoa)

I am an Indefinite Resident of NZ; my Ex is on Work permit under partnership policy. We are separated now for around 7 months. I want to take my sponsorship back. What will happen once i inform INZ about taking my sponsorship back? Will the INZ deport him to his home country?

Immigration New Zealand will issue a notice revoking his Work Permit. If he does not apply for a new permit in 2 - 3 weeks the Permit will be cancelled. If he has no permit and does not leave New Zealand he could be arrested and removed.
