Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Nigeria

Verbal Burial instructions

My recently deceased father, left verbal directives with his solicitor that he be buried on his premises, which i am not happy about. There's no vidence for this directive as the WILL is to be read only after burial.

Can i challenge this legally. Is it legal to bury on a private premises in Lagos state, Nigeria.

Re: Verbal Burial instructions

The dead can only speak through their Wills. If you object to the Lawyers position then insist that the Will be read before the burial.

verbal instructions are not admissible any where especially if a Will is proved to be in existence.

In any case a family member is usually given such close instructions like burial site and not a Lawyer.
