Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in North Carolina

I'am 53 yrs old and when I was 20 I was seeing a girl who was going to be 18 in 2 mths well becaus of her father pushing I was charged with endangering the welfare of a child in nassau county ny.I want to know how can I get this expunged so I can beable to purchase a handgun?

This is not a North Carolina appellate issue. Speak with a criminal lawyer in New York as every state's laws on expungement are different and I do not want to give you advice on New York law when I am not licensed to practice there.

You also need to speak with a criminal attorney in NC regarding whether the expungement in NY, if granted, will enable you to purchase a handgun in NC.

Just because a record is expunged doesn't mean that the conviction ever really goes away. Law enforcement still has access to the NCIC computer and they can see your record even if employers and other lay people searching the public domain cannot.
