Legal Question in Business Law in North Carolina

I own a business that offers mailing services through the USPS. A client paid us to do a bulk mailing of a dated piece. It was delivered to the USPS for delivery. Typically the pieces are delivered in 2-3 days this information was provided to the client and they helped in the selection of a delivery date to USPS. The piece was not delivered in the "normal" 2 days, but it took five days. This is within the USPS standards, but did not meet our clients expectations. They are no asking for a full refund for the printing, design, and postage. What is your opinion?

As a Franchise Attorney I can say this. It ultimately boils down to what you did (or didn't tell) your client about delivery time frames being within USPS standards. Assuming you were completely at fault, there's also a serious question about whether a full refund is justified. But a full review of all facts and circumstances is required. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
