hospital collections
If a patient pays monthly for hospital services provided more than a year ago, can the hospital turn over the debt to a collection agency, even if the patient is continuing to pay the hospital on a regular basis?

Yes, unless there is an agreement between the patient and hospital not to pursue collection.
