Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina

I was taken to court for non payment of rent due to some issues in my apartment that were not fixed after writing a letter and telling management. On the day if court they didn't show so the case was dismissed and now they are sending me back for the same thing. Is that legal

Unfortunately yes...also, DO NOT withhold rent in NC. NC does not allow rent withholding, the proper method is to bring your own action or counterclaim in small claims court

Sure! Why would you think it would not be? As long as the statute of limitations has not expired and as long as the case was not voluntarily dismissed there are no real restrictions.
