Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina

Credit Card Judgement and Liens

I have a judgement issued against me for old credit card debt. Can a lien be placed against my home if the debt is in my name only and the home is in my name and my husbands? Can I sign the deed over to just my husband only? How long does a judgement remain on your credit?

Re: Credit Card Judgement and Liens

If the house is in both your names, they will not be able to execute against it as long as you remain married.
