Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Carolina

I owed money to a bank after a repo. The bank hired a collection agency to collect the debt. The collection agency and I reached a settlement in which I paid and now the collection agency documents show I owe nothing, but the bank is saying I am wrong. They are saying that the collection agency had been misinformed and that I owe more money than was was settled for. Am I still liable to pay addition money or can I say no I don't owe anything that is your error (call it a loss).

It depends on what your settlemnet agreement with the collection agency says. Get a lawyer to read over it for you.
