Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina
I have been charged with two felonies, breaking and entering and larceny. I had no idea this was going to happen, and I never even went near the building, although the stolen items were put in my car, all taken back out because I wouldn't stop yelling and cussing about it except for two items, which I thought had been removed. My lawyer wants me to plead guilty and have my felonies brought down to misdemeanors putting one point on my record. I want to know if this is in my best interest, and if I didn't go near the building how am I being charged with breaking and entering? I also was the one to help the police arrest the man that actually had intentions to commit these crimes.
