What will happen if I was charged with assault on a 16 year old, after they hit and swore at my ten year old daughter?

Plead not guilty if it was in the defense of your daughter. If you did assault her later, not in defense of your daughter, look into any deferment options your local prosecutor may have. You should hire an experienced attorney in the county where you are charged.
