Legal Question in Discrimination Law in North Carolina

Taking Advantage of a Minor

I am 17 years old and have a Firepay account. Firepay is basically like Paypal, which you internet fans should be familiar with. Anyhow, Firepay knows my age...they have my birthdate on file and everything. It is widely known that one must be 18 to gamble on the internet. However, Firepay has submitted for me over $3,000 in transactions to sportsbooks. I give them money and they knowingly send it to sportsbooks for me. Isnt this kind of like selling alcholic beverages to a minor? I want retribution for the $3,000 I have lost. What are my chances?

Re: Taking Advantage of a Minor

Surely you're joking.

You can't expect them to reimburse you for a transaction they processed on your behalf and at your request, when you knew it was illegal. They process money, they're not there to guarantee that the transaction is legal.

If you think you've been taken advantage of, then hopefully this is an attitude adjustment.
